PokerStars made history on November 4th, 2019, as the first online poker Pennsylvania casino.

The passage of Pennsylvania House Bill 271 enabled PA's land-based casinos, including truck stops, to profit from real money online poker. Beforehand, only Nevada, Delaware, and New Jersey were the only exceptions. With one pen stroke on October 30th, 2017, former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf made the Keystone State the fourth to sanction online gambling, including online poker in PA.
